A Poem To The Child Who Made Me A Mom

mom and son hugging

Recalling my dream of becoming a mom — A poem to the child who made me a mom:

“Remember When”

I remember when you were just something I dreamed of.

I dreamed of it every day.

But I didn’t know who you’d be,

Or when you’d be.

I just wanted to be a mom,

I remember oh so badly.

I’d do anything,

Anything.

And here we are.

I know you,

And you know me.

And never in my wildest dreams,

Would I have imagined a more perfect one,

To be mine.

To be ours.

And here you are,

It was you.

It was always you.

Through all the struggles,

And all the pain,

That are now a distant memory.

I’d do it again.

Without hesitation,

Without doubt.

Because in the end,

I know I’d have you.

I’d do anything,

Just to be your mom.
