What products do you need to survive “The 4th Trimester”?
Postpartum care is so crucial in your recovery, both emotionally and physically. But where do you even begin? What items are a must-have and what items aren’t necessary?
We asked our community what items they recommended most during their postpartum season, and here is what they said!
1. Frida Mom Postpartum Kit
This item is especially nice for its long cooling pad liners and curved peri bottle. Your hospital most likely will provide you with their version of some of these items, but Frida Mom does an amazing job to focus on better supporting the mama’s needs.
2. Earth Mama Nipple Butter
This was a crowd favorite among other nipple butters. Not only does it work amazing for the mama but it has clean ingredients so you can ensure your baby is being taken care of as well!
3. Summer Fridays Jet Lag
After labor and delivery it’s normal to feel dry and dehydrated. This is a soothing and moisturizing mask so your skin feels amazing and you feel pampered!
4. Tucks
These are a postpartum staple for recovery, especially if you have a tear or hemorrhoids. These are witch hazel pads that you can line on pads to help speed up recovery.
5. Heating Pad
Having cramps and aches is completely normal after the birth of your baby. A heating pad can help alleviate some of that pain for either you lower back or abdomen.
6. MotherLove Sitz Spray
This is another product containing witch hazel, among other natural key ingredients to help soothe pain and speed up recovery.
7. Always Discreet
Dealing with bulky pads and underwear can sometimes be uncomfortable. These disposable, padded underwear make it so much more convenient during those first few weeks postpartum.
8. Eberjey PJs
Any soft, button down PJs will be nice for your postpartum recovery period but we love Eberjey for their butter-soft, cozy material!
9. Greater Than Lemonade
This is a yummy and refreshing hydrating drink with key nutrients to help keep you hydrated and support milk production.
10. Aquaphor
Perfect for your lips, hands and feet when your skin is feeling dry and cracked.
11. Lansinoh Cooling Pads
If you plan on breastfeeding, this item is a must-have. It’s common for your nipples to get dry and cracked during those first few weeks, and these cooling pads help provide cooling relief.
12. Earth Mama Postpartum Recovery Kit
This includes all-natural products to help provide relief from pain and soreness and speed up your recovery process.
13. MotherLove Rhoid Balm
An all-natural way to help shrink and cure hemorrhoids, providing relief and recovery.
