Social Media Manager

Remote, Part-Time 10-15 hrs/week

 

Bumpdate: The #1 private social networking app that helps friends and family remember to stay connected during pregnancy and parenthood. 

We’re a mom founded brand looking for a social media manager to join our team. The best candidate will be creative, have a willingness to be vulnerable, highly organized, proactive, and eager to join a community to promote the well-being of those who are trying to conceive a baby, are pregnant, have children, or are the support systems of these individuals. 

Social media content focuses: Trying to conceive, pregnancy, birth, parenthood, children, toddlers, babies, newborns, postpartum, postpartum recovery, mental health, friendship, social support, app education and more. 

We encourage moms, pregnant women and hopeful parents to apply. Business goals: 

  1. Increase app downloads and active users
  2. Increase social media following – Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest
  3. Maintain effective social media presence
  4. Build and maintain email marketing list through Mailchimp
  5. Expand our partner network

 

Primary responsibilities:

  • Work directly with Founder and Creative Director on social media strategy
  • Responsible for content creation, planning and strategy for all social media including posts, reels, stories, and community engagement
  • Maintain an organized posting schedule with weeks planned in advance
  • Maintain cohesive and attractive social media aesthetic
  • Oversee social media analytics and performance reports
  • Bring innovative ideas to improve strategies based on reports
  • Stay up-to-date on new social media tools and trends, best practices and how other brands are using them effectively
  • Proactively research trending topics and news stories, aggregate and curate content for use in social media conversations
  • Track social media trends to identify new, innovative ideas and partnerships to evolve our strategy and grow our audience
  • Take photos/videos of day-to-day parent, pregnancy and app focused content for social to create authentic posts and videos/reels
  • Caption writing and tagging 
  • Effective hashtagging
  • Community management (engage and respond)
  • Influencer onboarding and engagement
  • Implement effective calls to actions
  • Email marketing managed through Mailchimp
  • Create newsletters for distribution through Mailchimp 
  • Identify brand partnership opportunities and begin engagement
  • Create innovative content for brand collaborations and product Giveaways

 

Requirements:

  • Expert knowledge of social media management
  • Passion for women’s health and maternal well-being
  • Comfortable working in an environment with heavy baby, pregnancy, trying to conceive, and parenthood focused content
  • Highly organized individual with effective communication skills
  • Comfortable with Instagram, Tiktok, Pinterest, WordPress, Mailchimp, and Canva
  • Experience in baby, motherhood, parenthood field a plus
  • Excellent creative writing skills
  • Creative and enthusiastic problem solver
  • Time management skills and accountability for timely work completion
  • Transparency and up-front communication on absences and plans of actions for coverage during absences

Compensation:
